Our Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes how we, Kallo, collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us.

For purposes of this Agreement, “Service” refers to the service which can be accessed via our website and through any communication means with us. The terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operators of this website domain as well as communications with our organization. “You” refers to you, as a user of Service. By accepting our Privacy Policy, you consent to the collection, storage and use of information in the manner described below.

Kallo is a service which uses proprietary algorithms to process and analyse content within a webpage and extract structured data. We serve many customer personas who either user our service through an API, a web application or a browser add on.

Information we collect

  1. Website metadata & Cookies

We do not endeavour to collect “Personal Information” outside data used to contact you, the user of this service. Personal Information includes your email and name or other account identifiers, which you submit to us through the site. Your business name, its address and other publicly available information regarding your business will not be linked to any data we disclose without your express consent. Non-Personal Information includes anonymous usage data, referring/exit pages and URLs, platform types, the number of clicks and data uploaded to the site for processing.

You are not required to submit any Personal Information to use the Service.

In order to improve the quality of the Service, we track information provided to us by our software application or us by your browser. For example, the type of browser you use, the type of device you use, the website you came from, the time and date of access. We an anonymous unique identifier which is included in cookies or small text files. The cookies are sent from our server to a user’s browser. The cookies are stored on user’s computer. The Company may use cookies to collect the following information, including, but not limited to:

Email marketing applications, Google analytics, applicant tracking system The Company may use both session and persistent cookies; Session cookies expire when you close your browser and persistent cookies remain on your computer until you delete them.

You can typically remove or reject cookies via your browser settings. In order to do this, follow the instructions provided by your browser (usually located within the “settings,” “help” “tools” or “edit” functionality). Many browsers are set to accept cookies until you change your settings.

We will not share or distribute the data you upload to our servers without your express consent. We never share information pertaining to your business with third parties except you, the user gives permission.

The data you upload may be critical to the function you want to perform using our service. If you upload confidential information e.g. login details, we store this data only for use by you and provide you with the ability to delete this data permanently from our systems at will. You will not be able to retrieve such information from us in the event you lose the information locally.

How we use information we collect

Personal Information: We do not sell or share your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. However, we may share Personal Information with vendors who perform services for us, such as our email communication server.

We use your Personal Information to communicate with you. For example, we may use your Personal Information to get your feedback, inform you about promotional offers or contact you in response to questions.

We may share your Personal Information to comply with requests by governmental authorities or law enforcement where we have a legal obligation to disclose the information.

Non-Personal Information: We may use non-personal information for tracking purposes to improve performance on our site and service. For example, we track the number of requests and success rate in order to find triage issues that may affect our customer satisfaction or reliability of our service.

Information security

We implement security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. Your account will be protected by your account password if you have set up one. We urge you to keep your personal information safe by not disclosing your password and by logging out of your account after each use. We protect your information from security breaches by implementing encryption, firewalls and secure socket layer technology. However, this does not guarantee that your information will not be disclosed, accessed, altered or destroyed by breach of such secure software. By using our Service, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

Other Clauses

Law Enforcement and Internal Operations: Personal Data may be provided where we are required to do so by law, or if we believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary (i) to respond to claims asserted against Kallo or to comply with the legal process (for example, discovery requests, subpoenas or warrants); (ii) to enforce or administer our policies and agreements with users; (iii) for fraud prevention, risk assessment, investigation, customer support, product development and debugging purposes. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users about law enforcement or court ordered requests for data unless otherwise prohibited by law. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defence or objections that you may have to any third party request to compel disclosure of your information.

Business Transfer: Kallo may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Data, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy. Under such circumstances, Kallo makes commercially reasonable efforts to notify its users if their personal information is to be disclosed or transferred and/or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Third Parties: We sometimes contract with other companies and individuals to perform functions or services on our behalf. Our categories of service providers include: software maintenance, data hosting, sending email messages, project management and customer service. We necessarily have to share your Personal Data with such third parties as may be required to perform their functions. We take steps to ensure that these parties take protecting your privacy as seriously as we do, including entering into Data Processing Addendums and EU Model Clauses

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third party services for business functions. We categorize these into 3 buckets: Payments, Marketing & Product Analytics. For each, service we may use, we only transfer temporary information securely and on a need-to-know basis.

How long will we use your Personal Data?

We will keep data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice and to fulfil our legal obligations, but not longer than 30 days after we become aware that you wish to stop receiving communications or sharing your data and have verified your identity. We will not keep more data than we need.

Changes to Privacy Policy

Kallo reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy at any time. If Kallo makes material changes to its Privacy Policy, we will notify you by (1) changing the Effective Date on our Privacy Policy and providing additional notification either (i) via email or (ii) other means as we may deem fit.
